Hello Sew Friends,
Do you have a continuously growing pile of scrap Fabric? If you sew, I’m pretty sure you do, and I have some AWESOME ideas for you. You can use these ideas as birthday gifts, holiday gifts, or even just because of gifts.
Fat Quarter outfits
Who still has fabric from when you used to make homemade masks? Not everyone raise their hands at once lol. I used four fat quarters from Walmart and some extra yellow fabric I had lying around to make this outfit. It’s a size 5 and the piece worked PERFECT!!

Pattern Weights
WE ALL NEED them! YES, you guessed it, pattern weights!!! Twig and Tale has a tutorial on how to make your very own pattern weights. There's no print involved at all. All you need is 4” fabric and some rice, beans, BB’s, or whatever you desire to fill your weights with. Simple, right?
Here is the link to the tutorial, I would love to see your new pattern weights!!
Key Fobs
Let’s add a little color to our keys and ride in fashion. Made for mermaids have the perfect key fob pattern for free!! Who doesn’t love free? It has two options a solid color or a color block option.

Doll Clothes
Do you have a little girl in your life who absolutely love playing with dolls? Well, why not surprise her with a NEW stylish custom wardrobe for her babies!! Ellie and Mac have a free “school cool doll” pattern that is FREE yes, I said it FREE!! The pattern has three different lengths so you can make three different pieces to start off. Ellie and Mac do have a variety of doll patterns to match your little one. Another great place to purchase doll patterns from is Little Lizard King. They have a wide selection of doll patterns as well for every occasion.

Keychain coin purse
Who has teen girls who carry the bare minimum? I’ve seen girls who hate carrying purses and will put their license and money in their back pocket but as soon as they go to grab one or the other something ends up dropping on the floor. Great way to lose money or your license. Well, I’ve found another great scrap buster that can save them from losing money or their license, and yes it is FREE!! I’m starting to LOVE the whole FREE thing lol

Hand sanitizer holder
Our babies are back in school and so are all the germs too! My kids and I love to go to Bath and Body Works to buy their pocket sized hand sanitizers. And EVERYONE wants their own sanitizer holder and well the price can be a bit pricey (but I must admit they’re cute). But with all my scraps why not just pick some cute fabric and make it customized just for them? ONE OF A KIND!!
Are we sewing yet?? Have you created your “To sew list” already??
Socks
Have you EVER made a pair of socks before?? Last year was my very first time making socks and I made them from SCRAPS! YES, SCRAPS! Can’t you tell how excited I am? I made my sister a baby Yoda shirt for Christmas, and I had leftover fabric, but I figured it wasn’t enough for anything until I found a sock pattern. And guess who received matching socks with their shirt? YEP, you guessed it. MY SISTER! And she loved her gift so much.
Baby shoes
This one is on my cutting table now! My youngest HATES socks but loves shoes and with the season starting to change with hardwood floors they tend to be cold. I found two patterns and they’re FREE! Lowland booties and Spoonflower Baby shoes. The only thing I’m going to be doing differently is adding grip fabric to the sole since I have a “runner” but puff paint is perfect for sole grip as well.
